Still confused about RSS, Feeds and Feed Readers? Did you know you can generate more than one FeedBurner feed from your original feed? Did you know that you can use AdSense for Feeds to earn revenue from content you distribute in your feed? What is a Feed anyway? What’s Web Syndication and Atom?

Leave it to Google to corral all of this information in one place with links to the details. Of course, they’re promoting Google Feedburner, and they should; it’s still useful and reliable information. Wikipedia is helpful too, but I seem to go to Google first.

What’s a Wiki?

A recent class on social media offered to graduates of AssistU was so rich in content that I just HAD to share a small piece of it. We’ve all heard and accepted Wikipedia as a web-version of an encyclopedia, albeit written by just about anybody. But, what’s a Wiki? The best answer I’ve found is in this video by CommonCraft. By the way, he/they have several great videos on anything and everything related to social media, including blogs, podcasts, RSS, online photo sharing, Google Docs, Twitter and much more.

So, here I am, blogging. Who would have thought? There’s no avoiding it – everyone’s doing it!

This is my opportunity (and yours) to share our business and life journeys, and I hope you will join me.

Some areas I’ll expore are technology – how/what to use in your business, small business issues – the ups and downs of being a business owner (and the joys), the fine art of balancing your business and personal life, how to’s for simplifying your business and life, and of course, Virtual Assistance – when you can’t do it all. And from time to time, I’ll share some of my own personal joys (my husband, my new home, my cat, and my grandchildren).
